Part of our IPv6 proxy management guide series.

Vultr is a popular host for IPv6-heavy workloads. Here's the fastest path to a working fleet on MeshProx.

1. VPS requirements

  • Ubuntu 22.04+ or Debian 11+
  • IPv6 enabled on the instance (Vultr panel → Settings → IPv6)
  • Root or passwordless sudo SSH

2. Onboard in MeshProx

  1. Servers → Add server (IP, SSH key)
  2. Run Preflight — checks IPv6 range, opens UFW on the host
  3. Install agent
  4. Verify proxy — creates one live proxy and tests SOCKS5

3. Generate at scale

Proxies → pick server → choose SOCKS5 or HTTP → generate 100–10,000+. Export CSV or URL list.

Troubleshooting

  • Proxy test timeout → re-run preflight (UFW opens TCP 20000–60000 automatically) or click Fix on the UFW check
  • Agent offline → check systemctl status callaby-agent on the VPS
  • IPv6 exit not showing → target site may be IPv4-only; test with an IPv6-only checker
